Matcha means “liquid jade foam”, and is the origin of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Originating in the 16th century, this ceremony is centred around four fundamental values: harmony, respect, purity and tranquillity. Traditionally drunk as a beverage, Matcha is now making its way onto our plates! Thanks to its velvety flavour and herbal notes, it is very popular in desserts.
