Château La Lagune 2023 is a red wine from the Haut-Médoc appellation, classified as a 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Located on one of the first major gravel rises of the Médoc, the estate benefits from a distinctive terroir renowned for bringing finesse, balance and elegance to its wines. The vineyard is certified organic and Château La Lagune also holds Biodyvin certification.

A Grand Cru Classé from Haut-Médoc

The terroir of Château La Lagune consists of light gravel soils rich in quartz, calcite and silica. These soils favour the precise ripening of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and contribute to the estate’s elegant and balanced style. The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully sorted and vinified plot by plot.

The 2023 vintage is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot. Elegant and fresh, it offers aromas of red and dark fruits accompanied by floral and slightly minty notes. The palate is precise, with fine, silky tannins, beautiful freshness and a long, balanced finish.

Ageing and cellaring potential
