Weather Conditions of the 2022 Vintage
The 2022 vintage is exceptional. Winter was very rainy, followed by a warm and humid, almost tropical spring, favoring mildew. Early flowering was irregular depending on grape variety and terroir. Just before summer, the rain stopped, giving way to dry and mild weather until veraison. Intense heat periods dominated afterwards, punctuated by mid-August storms, allowing the vine to complete its cycle. The dry conditions and sometimes irregular flowering led to rather low yields, but the grapes harvested early were fully ripe, producing generous and balanced wines.
